What is a giclee print? Giclée (Zhee-clay or Gee-Clay) printing is the highest quality printing for archival prints. They are printed on a 12 colour machine (basic digital printers are only 4-5 colours) they have an unparalleled colour spectrum. They quality of a giclée print is as close as you can get to the original artwork in terms of colour matching and detail of art.
How long do they last? If properly cared for by the owner, a giclée print will last at least 100 years without significant fading. If your giclée print is framed and hung in a location outside of direct sunlight, it can last even longer. They must hang under glass not plastic.
